During my senior year, I was in charge of planning homecoming week and making sure homecoming court was taken care of. Being the head of my committee for student council, this was the biggest project our committee put on. I was in charge of delegating tasks to other members of my committee. On top of planning all of this we also had to plan a pep rally, which is something I had done in the past. This was very challenging for me to complete due to miscommunications throughout the building. Luckily I was able to have help from my team and we were able to get everything we imagined done. Even if we had a few errors or problems, I took responsibility for them and was able to make sure the whole student body had an enjoyable homecoming.

This winter our student council raised enough money to be able to send 10 boxes for operation Christmas Child. My friend Jenna and I got to shop for a little boy and a little girl. Spending a few hours of my time getting to get a present that would make a child's Christmas was something special I got to enjoy. I had done angel tree shopping before and I enjoy getting to spend time making a kids Christmas that wasn't fortunate enough to have one.

Describe the education program you intend to pursue if you receive the scholarship.

Upon receiving this scholarship I plan to major in Radiation Therapy to become a Radiation Therapist.
